Surfing The Bay 24.8.20

Hi Mates, There are windy waves in town again with a new south swell hitting Tallow Beach.

The west winds are blowing the waves away in town and is better along Tallow Beach for the experts only again. The winds are forecast to slow down over the next few days where we will see better waves for lessons and longboard surfers at The Pass & Wategos Beach. Golf as always when the surf is Crap & Heaps of Whales out there:::

B.O.M: Weather for Byron Coast:

Winds: Southwesterly 15 to 25 knots, then south to southeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the Arvo:

Seas: 1 to 2 metres, decreasing below 1 metre during the afternoon.

Swell: Southerly 1 to 2 metres, increasing to 2 to 3 metres during the morning.

Weather: Sunny.

Monday 17.8.20

Hi Mates, we have a classic looking day in The Bay today with flat surf in town and a new south swell coming in along Tallow Beach.

The winds are forecast to build and maybe swing to the north later on. Expert surfers only along Tallow beach with the south swell pushing up the coast. Heaps of Whales off the Cape & Golf during the arvo as always…..Gaz

WINDS: West to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots north of Yamba during the morning. Winds becoming variable about 10 knots in the early afternoon.

SEAS:  1 to 2 metres, decreasing below 1 metre around midday.

SWELL: Southerly Around 1 metre.WEATHER:  Sunshine all day in The Bay.

Saturday Byron Bay 15.8.2020

Hi Mates, The surf is very ordinary today and surfing lessons are cancelled with north winds coming in. The next few days we will see some off-shore winds coming back and giving surfers more options to get wet. Cosy Corner will be the best option for the experts today. Happy Days, Gaz

Byron Bay 1.8.20

Hi Surfers, More south easterly swell rolling into The Bay today, still with the strong sweeping current at Clarkes washing the bank down more. The Pass thru to Clarkes beach is the best place that is worth getting wet for the experts as well. Strong south east winds today.

Tallow Beach really early is the go tomoz..

Hi Surfers, we have the south Easterly swell rolling into The Bay today with plenty of motion in the ocean that is too solid for surfing lessons.

The Pass thru to Clarkes beach is the only place that is worthy of getting wet for the experts.

Strong south east winds today.

Tallow Beach is already getting smashed.

WINDS: Southerly 20 to 25 knots up to 30 knots during the Arvo.

SEAS: 2.50 to 3.00 metres.

SWELL: South Easterly 2 to 2.5 metres.

WEATHER: Sunshine out there today with the chance of rain.

CAUTION: Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as Surfing, crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.

G’Day Mates, another morning of good fun waves with the south west winds forecast to boost from the south east during the day.

Tallow Beach has waves for the experts only.

Waves at with The Pass as well as Wategos for the longboarders. Clarkes beach will also improve as the tide comes back in for the novice surfers to get a few fun waves today before the swell builds from the south east. Gaz

Byron Bay 29.7.20

G’Day Surfers, more waves around again today with southerly winds forecast to build during the day. The Bay has waves at with The Pass and Wategos having some good longboard waves there as well as Clarkes for the novice.

Tallow Beach has waves for the experts to chase a few there before hitting the golf course this arvo. Have a great day in The Bay. Gaz

SWELL: Southerly around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to 1.5 to 2 metres later in the evening.WEATHER:  Sunshine out there today.

G’Day Surfers, There are a few better waves around today in The Bay with The Pass and Wategos having a few crew out there early but the ocean is very brown and needs the off-shore winds to blow it all away. There are waves at Tallow Beach for the experts to chase a few there before hitting the golf course this arvo. Have Fun out there today. Gaz

SWELL: Easterly 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore south of Yamba.WEATHER:  Sunshine out there today.

Byron Bay on Monday 27.7.20

Hi Mates, We have super strong west to north west winds coming into The Bay today & is smashing the waves in town. Tallow Beach has waves there for the experts only with the strong wind warning that will still blow the crap out of the surf along there.

Golf later today as the winds will dry up the course that has been flooded yesterday.
