Strong Wind Warning for Thursday for Byron Coast

WINDS: Southeasterly 15 to 20 knots increasing to 20 to 25 knots in the early afternoon. Winds reaching up to 30 knots offshore north of Yamba in the late evening.

SEAS: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres during the morning.

SWELL: Northeasterly 1.5 to 2 metres. WEATHER: Sunny & Clouds with some rain.

CAUTION: Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as Surfing, Crossing bars by boat and Rock fishing.

Hi Surfers, We  have easterly winds out there for Thursday in Byron Bay that are limiting all options for Tallow Beach breaks today. Town will be the best to get wet today for sure from Wategos all the way  to The Wreck. More BIG tides at Clarkes Beach this morning but there will be fun waves there during the Arvo before going to Golf!!

G’Day Mates, Wow there are big tide in The Bay at the moment with the new moon coming in. Clarkes Beach is getting too much water there on the high tide for surfing lessons but is great on the lower tides. Main beach has some good fun waves there for the experts to get some fun waves. Golf in the Arvo!!!

G’Day Mates, Wow we had some rain and we may see some more coming in again and we really can use some. The waves are rolling in again with good fun waves early along Tallow Beach with the higher tide. The Bay has waves again at Wategos, Clarkes and The Wreck being the pick spots for surfing.
